Money Making Opportunity

Money Making Opportunity

I think I have ordered over 100 money-making opportunities in the past 20 years.

There are a lot of money-making opportunities on the net with promises of getting rich quick. There are the sites that sell business opportunity books, all that claim they will make you a lot of money on the net. Many of them are books filled with nothing but general info.

I have purchased many of these books, as well as tried many software products, and tested many advertising methods. You can learn from my mistakes and save yourself a lot of valuable time.

Don't get me wrong, there are some money-making opportunity books I purchased on the internet that had some useful info, as a few of my ideas have come from them. However, I couldn't find anything really complete that took you by the hand and showed you how to create a true money-making opportunity.

Watch out for any ad that promises a certain amount of money in a certain amount of time. No one can make that guarantee.

A title that says "$5,000 in 30 days"  or one that says
"Earn Big Money at home for a few hours of work" you should stay clear of.

Here is a list of a few scams.

Home Assembly Opportunities.
I have yet to hear about any money-making opportunity with a company paying them for assembling products at home.

Home assembly ads have been in the back pages of money-making opportunity magazines for years. Most of these people are selling information that is not current or accurate. Basically, you receive a  manual that lists 50 to 100 companies that offer work at home opportunities. Most of these companies in the manual you just paid $39.95 for require a setup fee.

Supposedly, this fee is refundable with the first completed project that you submit. The truth is, that most of these operations make their money off of the setup fees, and not from buying back people's work and reselling it. And, after all of your hard work, you will get back a letter from them, saying that your product isn't up to company standards and is not acceptable.

You will find "money-making opportunity" ads that come in your email, in online malls,  and any place that people can post on the Internet. Most of the work at home gimmicks involve selling information about different ways that you can supposedly make money working from home. However, most of them don't give you any idea of what real products you might sell. Instead they may just tell you to copy their page and put your name on it then resell it to others. To me there is nothing of real value being sold in this manner.

900 Numbers
In theory, 900 numbers are a great money-making opportunity. You simply setup a  phone line and people by the thousands start calling you (yeh, right).

Fact is, only the companies with huge advertising budgets have a chance to make it with 900 numbers. You need a lot of money to get a 900 number going. Starting with $500 isn't going to do it. Most of the big companies have hundreds of thousands of dollars to advertise it...do you?

Even many of these big companies fail. Psychic and Tarot lines are now the rage. There are some psychic lines that are generating millions of dollars in calls per month. (However, Dionne Warwicks psychic line did go bankrupt). Every single one of these successful lines has a huge advertising budget.

Envelope Stuffing.
I have yet to run across a legitimate envelope stuffing money-making opportunity. The reason why is because they don't exist. What company would pay $1 for every envelope stuffed when there are machines that will stuff them for about 2 cents each?

Pyramid Schemes
If people are selling a real product and are recruiting others to do the same it is a legal MLM. However, if their is no real product involved and people are merely recruited into the business to resell others with the hopes of it being a real money-making opportunity, then it is illegal.
