There are a lot of business opportunities on the net with promises of get rich quick. There are the sites that sell business opportunity books, all that claim will make you a lot of money on the net. Many of them are books filled with general info and tell you to go to it. I bought a lot of these books, as well as tried many software products, and tested many advertising methods. You can learn from my mistakes and save yourself a lot of valuable time. Don't get me wrong, there are some get rich quick books I purchased on the internet that had some good info, as many of my ideas have come from them. It's just that I couldn't find anything really complete that really took you by the hand and showed you how to create a turnkey moneymaking website. Then there are the tv guru's. If you have watched any late night cable tv programs at all you have probably seen the TV guru's who pitch their "Making Millions" type programs. Here is the scoop on one of these: Don Lapre. I first learned of Don Lapre when I saw his television commercial about four years ago. I must say Don Lapre knows how to put a lot of hype into his shows. Don Lapre is like most of the guys on tv. He will sell you his intro package for $39. Basically this just pays for his ads. Then a week or two later you will calls from his salespeople to try and get you to purchase his complete package anywhere from $1,000 - $2,000. I purchased his $39 package. There was some useful info..for instance the hot newspaper listings were handy. However, for the most part, then info was real practical. Don Lapre's package is broken down into different sections. One was how to make money with 900 numbers...which by the way he will try and sell you one of his. However, 900 numbers are very tough competition with companies with big ad budgets out there doing it. Another book by ion Lapre was making money at government auctions. However, if you ever went to an auctuion, you will find there are a lot of bidders, and it is very rare to get a bargain basement price on anything. Unless you think that 1982 Office chair for $10 is something you think you could turn around and sell for big profits. And another section is about buying items at garage sales, fix them up and resell them. Like you are going to spend all day doing that huh? Don Lapre also has a section on placing classified ads in local and national newspapers. However, he doesn't tell you specifically what product you might sell. Don Lapre says you are supposed to take profits from your first ad then reinvest in more ads, and so on. This can work if you have a good product and know how to write good headlines, etc. However, without having a specific product it will be a tough way to make it work.
